Zenpukuji Hanami

Location: Take a bus from Kamishakujii or Nishiogikubo stations.

Zenpukuji is one of the lesser known parks and Hanami (cherry blossom viewing) spots in Tokyo. There are over 200 trees which line a lovely man-made lake. There are pedal and row boats for hire on the lake and they also allow you to sit down and enjoy a hanami picnic. The scenery is similar to Inokashira Park near Kichijoji, but this park is less crowded and a little more subdued than its rowdy cousin. A nice place to take the family. Zenpukuji Shrine is a rather pretty shrine and well work a visit on its own merits.
