Location: Ueno Station. Follow the Ueno Park signs. It is right next to the Station.
Ueno Park is one of the most boisterous spots for Hanami. The park has beautiful established trees everywhere (over 1200) and there is ground-space under the trees for all the merrymakers. The path between the trees is roped so that onlookers don’t wander into the Hanami picnickers. Huge crowds come to the park to walk along the roped lanes and admire the cherry blossoms and watch the merry revelers under the trees. There is a shrine in the park and this normally has any number of stalls with Yakitori, corn and all of the other usual festival-type foods.
