The tourism section is particularly good and has detailed information on parks, transportation, temples, accommodation, events, hot springs (onsens), annual events, arts and crafts and local delicacies.

Sentoguide.com is a site created by a foreigner living in Japan wanting to provide information to other foreigners about the local sentos. SentoGuide only focuses on the smaller public baths located in local neighbourhoods, as well as some larger chains of  sento.

At the time of this article the site had just over 550 sentos listed in the database.

Get Hiroshima Classifieds is a classified site focusing on Hirohima classified ads. The site also has cinema information, event information and a forum.

Japan National Tourist Organization is a Japanese government site which provides information for online budget hotel reservations, regional guides, convention locations, museums and more.

Japanvisitor.com has a wealth of information on Japan. In particular, they have a lot of in-depth articles on places to visit in Japan, segregated by region.

Japaneseguesthouses.com has a vast amount of information on guest houses (ryokans) and onsens in Japan. They have a comprehensive list of onsens separated by region and a nice list of popular destinations in Japan.

Onsen Express is a good site for finding Onsen information on Japan. They also have quite a few useful articles and a ‘How to’ guide to using onsens.

Onsenjapan.net is a great site for finding information about Japanese onsens. They have a really cool interactive map separated by region, making it easy to get an overview of onsens in different regions around Japan.

Outdoor Japan is a great site for finding information on anything outdoor related in Japan. They have a range of information from area guides, activity guides, onsen guides, travel info, races and events etc.

Secret Japan-Onsen is an onsen site with about 130 onsens listed. You can search for onsens via a drop down menu separated by region. You can also search for onsens with different features such as with/without an outside bath, onsens with views, onsens with free baths and onsens within easy reach of Tokyo.

GaijinPot is one of the biggest Jobs and Lifestyle Website for Foreigners in Japan. They provide employment resources and living information about Japan. Recruiters and job-seekers can also post and locate resumes.

Metropolis, which started as a four-page sheet in 1994 is now the number one English magazine in Japan and is provided free. Circulation is approximately 30,000 copies/week with about 250 advertisers in each issue. The magazine was origianlly owned and managed by Mark Devlin but it was sold on September 28 to Terrie Lloyd of Japaninc. Holdings.
