The site gets an incredible 2 million users/month and has an anime/Japanese figurine focus, but also includes loads of intersting articles and photos on Japan daily life and subculture.

Japanwindow.com is a Photo weblog with loads of photos of Japanese people, daily life, and tourist spots etc. The site is run by Andrew Gray who is a writer living in Tokyo.

Engrish.com is a great site for relieving stress and having a few laughs at the expense of poorly written Japanese.
